Tips for Playing Cornhole

When you get ready to play the game you will use two cornhole boards and set them apart approximately 30 feet apart from each other. You should have two teams of people with two people on each team. You can have one person in each team if you like, which is considered a singles game. When you play doubles, the teammates will line up next to the opposite cornhole boards on opposite sides. All of the cornhole bags will be at each end.
When you play the game of cornhole you will start by a coin toss to determine who gets to throw the first bag. Players will alternate between each toss of the bag with each team until all of the cornhole bags have been thrown. When you toss the bags you should not cross the foul line and you should not throw the bag out of turn. If you foul then you will lose your turn and any points you may have earned with the toss.
When you score the cornhole bags you will get one point for a bag that has landed on the cornhole boards but have not landed inside of the hole. The bag must be on the board entirely and not be touching any part of the ground. If the bag is hanging inside of the hole but not entirely inside of the hole then it is only one point. Three points are given to people who get the bag inside of the hole get three points. If a bag touches the ground at all then it will not count as any points.
When you tally the scores of the bags on and in the cornhole boards there are a few things to consider. Each round throwing, the team who scores the highest amount of points will win the round. The points will be added and then subtracted to the other team member's points. This number will be the score given to the team member with the highest points of the round. The first team that makes it to 21 throughout the rounds will be the winner.
